DEATH OF MRS. HARRAH


Mrs. W. J. Harrah passed away at the family home in Freedom, (now Slate Creek) Idaho last Sunday, November 3rd after an illness of about three weeks at the age of 48 years six months, and eight days.


Catherine Warfield was born in Yaquina Bay, Oregon on April 26, 1870, to Samuel Warfield and Myra (Morgan) Warfield. She was united in marriage to Wilbur Harrah on May 1, 1887. The family moved to Idaho in 1892 where they have resided continuously since that time.


When a girl, Mrs. Harris united with the Methodist Church and lived a good true life, at all times ready and willing to aid the sick and suffering, and was loved by all who knew her.


She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband and 11 children as follows: Mrs. Elbra Brown of Seattle; Marvin and Lloyd of Freedom; Violet Clark and Maude Harrah of Spokane; Gladys, Alice, Raymond, Martha, Gertrude, and Georgia of Freedom another son Virgil Harraha preceded his mother by several years. The husband, her brother, George Warfield, and all of the children were at the bedside when the end came.


Funeral services were held at the White Bird cemetery on Monday, November 4th by Rev. Anderson of that place. Undertaker E.S. Hancock was called from Grangeville to direct the funeral.
