Mrs. Augusta Hise Canale, 60, of 2889 Sky Ridge Road, wife of George A. Canale and mother of six former Southeastern Conference football players, died at 9:52 last night at Methodist Hospital. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, where she was a communicant, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Spencer-Sturla & Hinton Funeral Home has charge. She also leaves six sons, Frank Sturla Canale, John Whitfield Canale, Justin D. Canale, William Taylor Canale, and Cornelius T. Canale, all of Memphis, and George A. Canale Jr. of Knoxville; a daughter, Mrs. Cole R. Michaels of Key West, Fla.; her mother, Mrs. W. A. Hise of Memphis; five sisters, Mrs. May Jackson, Mrs. H.H. Phillips and Mrs. E.B. Crenshaw, all of Memphis, Mrs. Lorenia H. Campbell of Cocoa, Fla., and Mrs. J.W. Burns of Water Valley, Miss.; two brothers, James Hise of Millington and Ham Hise of Cocoa, and seven grandchildren.
