MARTIN ROHDE (d. 1948)

Martin Rohde, 73, of route 1, Manitowoc, former county cheesemaker, died
at Holy Family hospital early Wednesday evening following a lingering
illness.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic church.
Silver Lake, with the Rev. Traeger officiating. Burial will be in the St.
Casimir cemetery, Northeim.
Born in this city in 1875, Mr. Rohde married the former (can't read) Peaschek
in 1901. She preceded him in death about six years ago.
The deceased operated cheese factories in numerous Manitowoc county locations
until his retirement several years ago.
Surviving are a son, Julius, of route 1, Manitowoc; daughter, Mrs. Earl
Reinertson of Loyal, Wis.; three brothers, Edward Rohde of Newton, Frank of
Sheboygan #53054974 and Thomas of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Glomski and
Mrs. Ignatz Bonk of this city and Mrs. Nick Kuffel of Newton, and four grand-
children.
The body may be viewed at the Leschke funeral home from 7:30 p.m. Friday
until the time of services Saturday morning.
The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Friday evening.
