Helen L. Heinrichs, age 60, a Manitowoc resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, at her residence.
Helen was born April 18, 1945, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Theodore and Josephine (Walters) Wachowski. She grew up and was educated in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962. On Dec. 1, 1962, she was married to Elmer (Butch) Heinrichs, Jr. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Elmer preceded her in death on July 6, 1996.
She was employed at Kubsch's and Weber's at Kellnersville and most recently at Copps in the Deli. Helen enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, playing bingo, spending time on her computer and had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include her daughter: Brenda Witak, Kellnersville; five grandchildren: Kyle, Kayla, Kendra, Kassidi and Kaden Witak; three sisters: Ruth (Don) Sleger, Two Rivers; Elaine (Albert) Schultz, Manitowoc; Darlene Kalista, Manitowoc; brother-in-law: Orlis Larson, Sr., Manitowoc, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband Elmer, Helen is preceded in death by two sons: Brian in 1977 and Bruce in 1998, a sister: Dolores Larson; a brother: Lester (Jim) Wachowski; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Elmer, Sr. and Louise Heinrichs; and a brother-in-law: Eugene (Yatch) Kalista.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton. The Rev. David Beaudry will officiate with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Whitelaw. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church until the time of liturgy at 10 a.m. The staff of Jens Family funeral Home & Crematory is serving the Heinrichs Family
