Beverly Kinser Swope, 83, of Chattanooga, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2013.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, she was a graduate of Central High School.

Mrs. Swope was former president and owner of G.H. Swope Building Corp. and Swope Rentals and former owner of Enchanted Evening Bridal Shop in East Ridge, TN and co-owner of The Wedding Shop and was formerly employed with Combustion Engineering,

She was a member of Cross Culture Christian Church. She served the Lord faithfully in various church ministries as a soloist, choir member and served for several years as hospitality and event planner for the Singles Ministry at Central Baptist Church of Hixson.

She was preceded in death by her son, Garnet Howard Swope Jr., husband, Garnet Howard Swope Sr. and her parents, Ernest (Pop) and Grace (Mimmie) Kinser.

Mrs. Swope loved the Lord and shared Jesus with everyone she knew and generously supported the Lords work throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughters, ZeeVonia (Bobby) Espy, Sebrenia (Mike) Eaves and Nekolia (Phil) Burke; son, Dr. Korbet (Melanie) Swope all of Chattanooga; she was known affectionately as "Momma B" by her grandchildren, Casey, Tanner and Logan Espy, Hadalie, Hunter and Jordan Eaves, Taylor, Chaffin and Trevor Burke and Kaleb, Noah and Micah Swope.

Services will be held Thursday at 3 PM in the chapel with her son, Dr. Korbet Swope officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with Casey Espy, Taylor Burke, Kaleb Swope, Hunter Eaves, Tanner Espy,Trevor Burke, Jordan Eaves and Noah Swope serving as pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Culture Christian Church, 8825 Quail Run Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN.
