Francis J. Brooks, age 75, of Two Rivers, died Sunday evening, February 20, 1994, at Heritage Nursing Center, Sheboygan. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 1994, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Burial with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.
He was born May 27, 1918, at Long Lake, Wisconsin, son of the late C. H. and Blanche Jewel Brooks.
He married Cleo M. Hupf April 30, 1941, at St. Leonard's Church, Laona, Wisconsin.
He served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945. He was employed at Mirro Aluminum for 16 years until his retirement in 1980.
Survivors include his wife, Cleo, Two Rivers; nine daughters and seven sons-in-law, Faye and Del Walker, Sheboygan, Rosalie and James Keesler, Grafton, Sandra and Al Wellner, Two Rivers, Linda and James Emond, Two Rivers, Margaret Dirkmann, Kellnersville, Catherine and Fred Vande Hay, Denmark, Cleo and Allan Kocourek, Sheboygan, Mary Lodl, Two Rivers, Lisa and Rick Genske, Sheboygan; six sons and daughters-in-law, Francis (Don) and Julie Brooks, Two Rivers, Robert and Shirley Brooks, Sheboygan, Ronald and Christine Brooks, Milwaukee, Richard and Cheryl Brooks, Grafton, Vance and Renee Brooks, Manitowoc, Callen and Kathy Brooks, Two Rivers; a brother and sister-in-law, Vance and Carol Brooks, Long Lake, Wis.; 33 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Friends may call at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
Francis was an avid card player and will be missed by his card playing friends.
