Walker, Faye Marie

Faye Marie (nee Brooks) Walker, 74, of Sheboygan, passed peacefully in her sleep on June 20, 2016. Faye was born in Laona on October 5, 1941 to the late Francis and Cleo (Huff) Brooks. She attended school at Laona High. She was a dietary aide at St. Nicholas Hospital for 25 years before retiring. On October 8, 1960, she married Dell Walker in Laona.

Faye's passion in life was cooking. She made everything from scratch and enjoyed making sure that everyone had seconds. She would happily hum in the kitchen with a smile on her face and was passionate about having the entire family around the dining table. She wouldn't sit until every detail was perfect. She enjoyed playing bingo and poker with family as well, especially when she won. She loved old movies and found much joy in listening to music. She was occasionally caught dancing around the house, singing as she went about her tasks. She found joy in visiting with her great-grandchildren and spoiling them with treats and gifts. She had a deep personal relationship with God and was the first to say a pray for anyone in need. She was extremely generous and donated to many missionaries and causes. Selfless in nature, she always put others needs above her own. She will be dearly missed by her family.

In addition to her husband of 55 years, Dell, she is survived by three children, Christopher Walker, Sheboygan, Dell H. Walker, Jr., Sheboygan and Lisa Walker-Jeske (Richard), Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Julie Walker-Turner (Marty), Sheboygan and Sarah Walker, Frankfurt, Germany; two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Terrie Turner, Sheboygan; thirteen siblings, Don (Julie) Brooks, Rosie Keesler (Jim), Robert (Shirley) Brooks, Sandy (Al) Wellner, Ronald (Chris) Brooks, Linda (Jim) Emond, Catherine (Fred) Vande Hey, Margie Brooks, Cleo (Dennis) Rausch, Mary (Dean) Jacobs, Vance Brooks, Lisa (Rick) Genske and Callen Brooks (Nicole); one sister-in-law, Cheryll Brooks and a special cousin, Rita Ziolkowski. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Brooks, one niece, Debra J. Meister and her son-in-law, Terry Jeske.

A funeral service for Faye will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove) with the Rev. Gregory Whelton officiating. Friends may call on Friday, at the funeral home, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Please visit www.zimmerfuneralhome.com to sign the guestbook.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
