Mrs. Duckett was born in Union on August 18, 1924, a daughter of the late Will and Eva (Willard) Burnett.
She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church, the Juanita Crocker Sunday School Class, and had served as a Sunday School teacher, and member of the Womens Missionary Union.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Hinson of Rock Hill and Judy Lawson, with whom she made her home; three sons, Halon Duckett of Union, Ronnie Duckett of Gaffney, and Tony Duckett of Union; three sisters, Flora Hachett of Spartanburg, Burnice Roberts and Mary Edwards, both of Union; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Fairview Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Warren Jones and Rev. Clarence Crocker. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Visitation was at the funeral home Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
