Hilde Crawford, 84, of Salem died March 30.
She was born in Kiel, Germany, and moved to Los Angeles in 1924. She moved to Salem in 1990 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Salem Sojourner Club and Newcomers Club. She enjoyed playing bridge. She married Henry; he died in 1974.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathie Pennington and Cynthia Austin; sisters, Erika Tanklage and Agnes Schoneberg; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City, Calif. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
