Funeral services of Mrs. Martha Henderson were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapman Higby Chapel with Rev. W. L. Ruyle of the Methodist Church in charge. Interment was in Richland Cemetery, where the husband and son are buried. Martha May was born in Adams County, Ohio, November 15, 1851. In her young womanhood she joined the Presbyterian church. November 11, 1875, she was married to Thomas Henderson at her father's home near Promise City, Iowa. They moved to Nebraska in 1890 settling on a farm near Marquette and later at Aurora. To this union were born two sons, one passing away in infancy. Otto B. died at the age of 14 years. In May 1920 her husband preceded her in death. Mrs. Martha Henderson departed this life December 7, 1926, aged 75 years and 22 days. She leaves to mourn her loss five sisters and one brother."
