Bill as many knew him was a man of strong faith. He was Baptist by faith and attended First Baptist of Seven Points. Billy enjoyed fishing, boating, crafting ink pens and playing dominoes especially 42. His hobbies included baseball and reading especially Louis L'Amour novels. He was employed at Dallas ISD before retiring after 29 years of service. He volunteered as a Boy Scout Master and was a member of the React Emergency CB Radio Response Unit. When he was 27 years he was ordained as a Minister and served the Lord for many years in that profession.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Annie Adams, his four brothers; Thomas, Herbert, Russell and Donald and one sister Fay McAnally.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Jessie Joan Adams of Gun Barrel City, three sons; Jeffrey M. Adams and wife Becky of Payne Springs, Kyle J. Adams of Gun Barrel City, Bruce A. Adams and wife Donna of Kaufman, daughter Carrie A. Howard of Gun Barrel City, sister Wanda M. Hillhouse of Athens, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.
