Donald J. Hedman, age 70, of Manitowoc, died Sunday, March 2003 at the Hamilton Home of Two Rivers.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at the Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 1122 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc. The Rev. Steven Miles will officiate with inurnment of his cremated remains at Knollwood Memorial Park.

Donald was born June 8, 1932 at Rice Lake, son of the late Andrew and Maude Richardson Hedman. He grew up and was educated at Rice Lake joining the U.S. Army following high school. Donald moved to Two Rivers in 1953 and moved to rural Manitowoc in 1979. He worked for the Manitowoc Company until his retirement in 1996. On June 16, 1979 he was married to Patricia Beatty Scimemi at Manitowoc. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church of Manitowoc. Donald enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching the Green Bay Packers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Phillip, Paul, John and Lawrence.
