Emily Cecelia Hesler, age 57, of Algoma, died Friday, April 16, 2004, at the Door County Memorial Hospital.
Emily was born April 27, 1946, in Manitowoc to the late Wilbert and Cecelia (née Smith) Kleiber.
She married David Hesler in Manitowoc on August 31, 1968.
Emily graduated from St. Paul's and Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. She then graduated from Holy Family School of Nursing as a registered nurse and worked at the Two Rivers Hospital, Dorchester Health and Rehab in Sturgeon Bay and the Algoma Long Term Care Unit. After her nursing career, she worked as a florist for Stein Florist in Green Bay. Emily was active in the Green Bay Orchid Society and was a supporter and contributor to the Humane Societies. Emily enjoyed the great love and care she gave to her family and gardening.
She is survived by her husband: David; two sons: Darren (Shanna) Hesler, Sturgeon Bay; and John (Michelle) Hesler, Algoma; one daughter: Rachel Hesler and her fiancé, Jacquinot Robinson, Hampton, Virginia; three grandchildren: Amanda, Cassidy and Austin Hesler; four sisters: Lucy Rehme of Kiel; Margaret (Joseph) Walters of Manitowoc; Paulette (William) Swiggum, of New Jersey; and Annette (Richard "Bubba") McDonald in Manitowoc.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to the American Cancer Society.
