Margaret "Marge" F. Walters, age 73, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at her residence.

Marge was born on March 19, 1949 in Manitowoc to the late Wilbert and Cecelia (Smith) Kleiber. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1967 and later went on to obtain her LPN license from NWTC. On August 1, 1970, Marge married Joseph A. Walters Jr. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She had worked as an LPN at Holy Family Hospital for many years, and later she followed her crazy passion cleaning people's homes. Marge was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies. She also liked going out to dinners, watching her husband's and grandchildren's softball games, taking trips to the casino, cooking, baking, ironing, and supporting QVC with her shopping. Above all, Marge cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and friends – especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include Marge's husband of nearly 52 years, Joe; two daughters, Rebecca (Robert A.) Krause, Manitowoc; and Melissa (James) Theune, Fond du Lac; two precious grandchildren, Zachary and Julia Krause; two sisters, Annette McDonald, Manitowoc; and Paulette Swiggum, Manitowoc; sister-in-law, Joanne Wargin, Two Rivers; special friend, Sally; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Cecelia Kleiber; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph Sr. and Anna Walters; two sisters, Emily Hessler and Lucille Rehme; sister-in-law, Fanchon; and two brothers-in-law, Raymond and Richard Walters.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Pastor Al Raedel will officiate with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery. A luncheon for family and friends will then be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Marge's name.

Marge's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Aurora at Home Hospice for all of their care and compassion. Also, special thanks to Pastor Al for all of the time he spent with Marge and her family and the support he provided during this difficult time (the cookies were great too!). Last, but not least, thanks to all of the family and friends for their love and support.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
