Sickness of 16 Years Ends With Death Early Today of Mrs. Heinzen
Mrs. Mary Heinzen, 69, ill for 16 years, died early this morning at her home, Manitowoc, Route 4. She was a resident of Manitowoc Rapids nearly all her life.
The body was removed to the homestead where a son, Herbert, now resides, from the Pfeffer funeral home. The homestead is adjacent to the residence where Mr. and Mrs. Heinzen lived. The funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the homestead and at 9 o’clock at St. Joseph’s church with the Rev. Joseph Specht officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Heinzen, whose maiden name was Mary Neuser, was born May 3, 1866 in the Town of Rapids. She was married to Jacob Heinzen Dec. 26, 1888. After their marriage they lived at Dows, Ia., for four years and then returned to Rapids where they made their home for 44 years.

Survivors are the widower, four daughters, Mrs. Clara Dirkmann, Mishicot; Mrs. Frank Ebsch, Menominee, Mich.; Mrs. Carter Kuhl, city; and Mrs. Raymond Benshawel,
Osman; one son, Herbert, residing on the homestead; two brothers, Joseph and John Neuser, Rapids; and five sisters, Mrs. Peter Endries, Chilton; Mrs. Charles Gilbert, city; Mrs. Ida Rencelmann, Sheboygan; Mrs. John Pfefferle, St. Nazianz; and Mrs. John Fischer, Town of Rapids. There are 18 grandchildren.

Mrs. Heinzen was a member of the Christian Mothers’ society of St. Joseph’s church.
