Joseph Vincent Crisa,
the third of three fine brothers, was born in
San Pedro to Vincent and Mary Calvaruso Crisa. Growing up in San Pedro, "Joe" attended 15th St. School, Dana Jr High, and graduated from San Pedro High School, class of 1952.

As a comedian and entertainer he shared happiness with others. In his early career Joe traveled the comedian circuit of Los Angeles, Hollywood, Sacramento, and San Francisco. He was billed as "The Most Happy Fella." He gained life-long friends from his association in that venue.

In his later years Joe was a wholesale menswear representative, including Canyon Slacks and Catalina Menswear. Always kind to animals, he was known for his love of cats.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, John and Sam. Having brought joy, laughter, and smiles to so many, Joe will be sincerely missed.

Memorial services in Joe's honor were held Saturday, January 29, 2011, at McNerney's Mortuary Chapel, San Pedro.
