John Staudinger, 77, of 951 Mac Arthur Dr., Manitowoc, died Thursday night at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a short illness. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic church. The Rev. Clement P. Kern will officiate and burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Whitelaw.
Mr. Staudinger was born Sept 3, 1880 at Clarks Mills, son of the late George and Mary Staudinger. He married Mary Grall November 16, 1904 and a year later the couple moved to Antigo. They resided there until 1912 returning then to Manitowoc County. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Staudinger was employed as a carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, six daughters, Mrs. Emil Kummer, Mrs. Elmer Rodney, Mrs. Paul Fricke, Mrs. Lawrence Waskow and Mrs. Norbert Schleis of Manitowoc and Mrs. William Pietras of Two Rivers; two sons, John Jr. and Reinhart of Manitowoc; two brothers, Joseph of Manitowoc and Charles of Valders; six sisters, Mrs. William Boechman and Mrs. John Schmidt of Manitowoc, Mrs. Joseph Rathsack of Appleton; Mrs. Isadore Belongia of Two Rivers, Mrs. John Kathan of Sheboygan and Mrs. Edward Schmelter of DePere; 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o’clock this Friday evening.
