Arnold A. Kind, age 86, of 5707 Hwy. 147 W., Maribel, entered into eternal life Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Arnold was born Feb. 24, 1922, on the family farm in the town of Gibson to the late Arthur and Albina Witt Kind and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a 1940 graduate of Mishicot High School. On May 22, 1946, he married the former Hazel Weihemuller at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mishicot. In his early years of employment, he worked for the Mirro Manufacturing Co., and later owned and operated the family farm in the town of Gibson for many years. Arthur was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson, where he served on various committees, including the Church Council. He also was a member of the Lake To Lake Dairy Association and the Midwest Breeders Association. He enjoyed listening to old time music, square dancing and dancing to polkas.

He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law: Lyle Manteufel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson, with the Rev. Maurice L. Hoppe officiating, and will conclude with entombment in the Knollwood Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Evangelica Lutheran Church, town of Gibson, until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
A memorial fund has been established in Arnold's name.
The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Kind family with
funeral arrangements.
