Hazel L. Kind age, 84, of 5707 Highway 147 W, Maribel, entered into eternal life on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 27, 2009, at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.
She was born on Oct. 2, 1924, in the town of Gibson to the late William and Hattie (Zermuehlen) Weihemuller, and has been a life-long area resident. She was a graduate of the Mishicot High School. Hazel married Arnold A. Kind on May 22, 1946, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2008. She and her husband farmed the family farmstead in the town of Gibson for many years. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson, and was a member of the Ladies Aide of the church. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, and enjoyed listening to old time music, square dancing and dancing to polkas.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Lyle Manteufel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson, with the Rev. Maurice L. Hoppe officiating, with entombment to follow in the Knollwood Mausoleum.
Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. on Friday at the church until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Kind family with
funeral arrangements.
