GENE A. KLEIN

Gene A. Klein, age 70, of 2125 Herman Road, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, where he resided for the last year.

Gene was born Sept. 16, 1938, in Two Rivers. He was the son of the late Harry and Ella Wildman Klein. Gene was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1957. He was employed for 32 years as a machinist with Manitowoc Cranes from where he retired in 1999. On Nov. 5, 1960, he married Georgiana Scherasky at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing his banjo. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers football fan.

Gene was preceded in death by two brothers: Ivan and Marvin Klein, along with two brothers in infancy: Maynard and Harry Klein.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Deacon Paul Kieffer with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.

Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
