GRASSFLAT - Mrs. Anna Mizik, 82, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Terry on Friday morning, January 17.
The funeral service was held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Slovak Church, with Rev. Rutra of Pittsburgh officiating. Interment was in the Grassflat cemetery.
Attending the service from out-of-town were her son Andrew Mizik of Jamestown, N.Y., and George, Joseph, Steve, Mike and Charles Terry of Washington, D.C., grandsons.
Mrs. Mizik was born in Cirvenikia in Austria. She was married in Europe in 1883 and in 1890 arrived in America, accompanied by her son, Andrew and daughter, Lizebeth. They first settled in Belsina, Clearfield County. For the past 13 years, she had lived in Grassflat.
She is survived by a daughter Lizebeth with her seven sons and one daughter, George, Joseph, Terry, Steve, Mike and Charles of Washington, D.C., and John Andrew and Anna Terry, One son, Andrew, of Jamestown, N.Y., and his son also survive.
