Andrew C. Starr was born August 22, 1913, in Stilwell to William and Jennie (Bird) Starr. He departed this life September 2, 1999, in Stilwell at the age of 86 years and 21 days.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War 11. He was employed at Vallejo Shipyards for two years and he retired from General Motors after 32 years of employment.
On January 28, 1944, Andrew was married to Mollie Lee Beaver in Tahlequah. He was a deacon at the First Indian Baptist Church in Oakland, California, and a member of the Oakridge Baptist Church in Stilwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jennie Starr; one grandson, Smoky B. Franco; one great grandson, Matthew Schultz; two sisters, Narcie Starr and Donnie Muskrat; two brothers, an infant and Cecil Dick.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Mollie; four daughters, Nannie, Betty and Bonnie, of Oklahoma and Jane, of California; 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
