SHIRLEY KNIER

Shirley Ann Knier, age 48, of 166 Glenview Ave., Brillion, died unexpectedly Monday, October 14, 1996. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 1996, at St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church, Brillion. Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.

Shirley was born March 9, 1948, in Manitowoc, daughter of Dolores Hammel Schmidt and the late Jerome Schmidt.

She married Conrade Knier on August 5, 1967.

She worked at the Brillion Iron Works for over 20 years and was a member of St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church, Brillion.

Survivors include her husband, Conrade; her mother, Dolores, Valders; one daughter and sons-in-law, Carla and Douglas Buboltz, Appleton; one son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Ann Knier, Dubuque, Iowa; four grandchildren, Sadie and A. Bryce Buboltz, Alexa and Adam Knier; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose and Bill Brunner, Manitowoc, Pat and DuWayne Retlich, Ada., Wis., Joan and Mark Evrard, Indianapolis, ind., Carol and Dave Eisenchink, Valders; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Chuck and Charlotte Schmidt, Reedsville, Robert and Julie Schmidt, Whitelaw, Richard and Diane Schmidt, Manitowoc, John Schmidt and Fiance Lisa VanderHeiden, Menasha, Kevin and Barb Schmidt, Menasha; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Delmare and Connie Knier, Reedsville, Ralph and Diane Knier, Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Grce Knier, Valders, Carol and Kent Wehausen, Whitelaw, Phyllis and John Hagrew, Florida; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Schmidt, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alex and Elsie Knier, a brother, Michael Schmidt and a brother-in-law, Marvin Knier.

Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and then at the church on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
