Mrs. Ellis "Lefty" (Viola) Kohls, 77, of 431 Madison St. Reedsville, died Thursday evening, June 27, 1991, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Reedsville. Rev. Nicholas Johannes will officiate with entombment in Knollwood Mausoleum.
The former Viola Menchal was born November 6, 1913, in Menchalville, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Sauer Menchal. On February 5, 1938, she was married to Ellis Kohls at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kellnersville. She enjoyed being a Tour Escort for mini bus tours. She was a member of St. Mary's Parish, Reedsville, and its St. Ann Christian Mother Society.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Menchal. She was lovingly known to her family and friends as Nanny. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Reedsville, on Sunday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. when parish prayer services will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Father Johannes. Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, is in charge of arrangements.
