Herman Albright was born in Ukermark, Germany, March 2nd, 1840, and passed from this life December 12th, 1929. In the year 1861 he came to this country locating at Detroit. During the same year he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Mouldenlour. To this union were born thirteen children as follows: Ida, Mary, Frank, Otto, Herminnie, Bertha, Minnie, Herman, Martha, Frederick, Emma, Edward and Anima. In the year 1877, he moved his family to Saginaw, where his wife preceded him in death April 11th, 1888. In 1891 he moved to Clare county where he spent the remainder of his life. The children who survive him are Mrs. W.H. Randall, Mrs. Paul Zimmerman, Mrs. Job Randall, of Clare; Frank, Otto and Herman, of Saginaw; Mrs. Richard DePaeu, of Vassar, and Edward of Lansing, the other children having preceded him in death. He also leaves to mourn their loss thirty-four grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. W./H. Randall, last Friday afternoon, Rev. Milberry officiating, and the remains laid to rest in Cherry Grove. (The Clare Sentinel - Clare, MI - 22 December 1922)
