Arthur A. Gosse, 77, Route 1, Cleveland, Town of Meeme, died unexpectedly at his home Thursday after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was born July 21, 1902 in Two Rivers, son of Richard and Elizabeth Gosse. On April 29, 1933 he married Ida Rosenbauer. The couple operated a farm in Town of Schleswig until 1937 when they moved to the Town of Meeme.
He was employed as a mason and also worked for Passine Cheese Co., Plymouth and Millersville Box Co. Mrs. Gosse died in 1969. He was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Town of Meeme.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Manuel (Ellen Mae) Sanchez of rural Oostburg; two sons, Wayne of Plymouth and Monroe of North Fort Meyers, Fla., two brothers, Gilbert of Sheboygan and James of West Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Schoerer and Mrs. Fred Schauer, both of Sheboygan; 12 grandchildren. A daughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. The Rev. Charles Barnes, pastor, of St. James UCC, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 pm today and until the time of services on Saturday.
