Mrs. Edwin H. Hemb, 65, of 816 Roosevelt Ave., Howards Grove, died Sunday morning at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day.

The former Lavern Sohn was born May 26, 1914, in the town of Centerville, daughter of Leo and Emma Bebermeier Sohn.
She and her husband were married on May 12, 1934, at St. John United Church of Christ in the town of Herman. The couple farmed in the town of Meeme until 1969, when they moved to Howards Grove. Mrs. Hemb was a member of St. James United Church of Christ in the town of Meeme.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Donna) Bennin of Cleveland; three sons, Edwin Jr. of New Holstein, Donald and Kenneth, both of Howards Grove; a brother, Alfred Sohn of Sheboygan; nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. James UCC. The Rev. Charles Barnes, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral home in Kiel after 4 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday and at the church from noon until the time of services.
