Willard H. Herzog, 74, of 1821 N. 20th St., Sheboygan, died Saturday, November 26, 1988 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. He was born December 11, 1913 in Sheboygan, the son of the late William and Mary Block Herzog. He attended Lincoln-Erdmann Elementary School. On November 20, 1937 he married Flora Schwartz of Sheboygan at Ebenezer Evangelical and Reformed Church, Sheboygan. He was employed at S and R Cheese Company of Plymouth for 22 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ.
Mr. Herzog is survived by his wife, Flora; a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald A. and Judith Herzog, of Watertown; one daughter, Germaine Kinney of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Todd, Kristin, Lisa and Cheryl Kinney; three brothers, Hilbert Herzog, Howards Grove, Raymond Herzog, Sheboygan and Orville Herzog of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Erna) Vanderhoff, Klamath Falls, Oregon and Mrs. Harold (Florence) Zabel of Sheboygan. A sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 1:30 pm at Ebenezer United Church of Christ. Rev. Dr. Robert Page, pastor of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in St. James United Church of Christ Cemetery, Spring Valley. Friends may call at Ballhorn Chapels after 5 pm Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 am to time of service at church. A memorial is established in his name.
