Mrs. Carrie Hortonse Smith of 303 North Euclid avneue, died last Wednesday in her home after a long illness. She was the widow of Frederick E. M. Smith, who died in 1942.
Born in Ohio, Mrs. Smith had resided in Westfield for more than 30 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and a member of the Woman's Guild.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Percy L. Taylor of the North Euclid avenue address; one grandson and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in Gray's Funeral Home with the Rev. Frederick W. Blatz, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
