Betty Paulson, age 89, formerly of Felician Village, Manitowoc, died Friday, December 4, 1992, at Havasu Samaritan Regional Hospital, Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

She was born November 16, 1903, in the region known for most of the 20th century as Czechoslovakia, daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (née Brodnan) Brezoni.

She came to Manitowoc with her parents as a small child and was educated in local schools. She was married to Walter I. Paulson on July 31, 1923, at the Gjerpen Lutheran Church, Valders. He preceded her in death January 8, 1988.

She was a cook with the Lincoln and Woodrow Wilson School Systems, Manitowoc, and associated with the Rollaire Skating Center, Manitowoc. She is a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Walter (Connie) Paulson, Federal Way, Washington; William A. (Bonnie) Paulson, Manitowoc ; two daughters and one son-in-law, Marion L. and Merle Zentner, Lake Havasu City, Arizona; one brother, Joseph Brezom, Sheboygan; one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and William McCallister, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law, Irene Brezom, Manitowoc; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Rosso and Marie Panosh; one brother, Frank Brezom and one grandson, Kim Paulson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home with entombment to follow at the Knollwood Mausoleum Township of Kossuth.
