Joseph was born April 9, 1914 in Manitowoc, a son of the late Thomas and Anna (Brodnan) Brezoni. He attended Manitowoc schools.
In April of 1941, Joseph entered the U.S. Army. He served with the 32nd Division and was stationed In New Guinea and Australia. Joseph was discharged from the Army in January of 1945.
On Jan. 26, 1946, he was united in marriage to Marie Wirth at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Following their marriage, the couple made their home In Sheboygan. Marie died Aug. 20, 1989.
Joseph was employed at Kohler Co. for more than 25 years, retiring in 1976.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Edmund) Awe and Karen (Robert) Rutkowski, both of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Marge (William) McCullister, Manitowoc. Joseph was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Joseph was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. He helped as one of the cooks for Soup Suppers at St. Andrew Church and also helped cook for the Our Lady's Kitchen Program at Grace Episcopal Church in Sheboygan.
Through the years Joseph was an avid fisherman, gardener and loved carpentry.
Funeral services for Joseph will be held on Thursday, May 13, at 1 1 a.m., at Ramm-Ziegler-Novak-Rettke Funeral Home, Northslde Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Paul G. Bauman, pastor, of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, will officiate. Entombment will take place at Garden Terrace Mausoleum in Sheboygan.
Friends may call at the funeral home, 726 Michigan Ave., Sheboygan, on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services
