GRACE C. POLAK

Grace C. Polak, age 67, of 1710 S. 24th Street in Manitowoc, died Saturday evening, May 22, 1993, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

She was born November 4, 1925, at The Town of Cooperstown, Manitowoc County. She is the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (née Wanish) Opichka.

She married Joseph W. Polak on August 7, 1947, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville, Wisconsin.

Grace was a member of the Manitowoc Senior Center and St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Judith Polak, Dausman, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Deborah, Jennifer, Jason, and Jeremy Polak; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor and Martha Opichka of Cato and Quirin and Mollie Opichka of Manitowoc; other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by their infant son, Wayne.

God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around her and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched and saw her face away. Although we loved her dearly we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Funeral Services will be at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at the Knollwood Mausoleum Town of Kossuth.
