Services will be Dec. 23 in Anaheim for Tracy resident Sibyl "Granny" Robinson, 87, who died Thursday at her daughter's Tracy home.
Born in Madill, Okla., Mrs. Robinson was a retired nurse's aide in Los Angeles. She moved to Tracy 11 years ago, and previously lived in Norwalk.
Mrs. Robinson enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling and spending time in the country.
She loved to have her children and grandchildren around her.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by five children, Marinell Vaughn of Tracy, Joy Heskett of Bonita, Terry Robinson of La Mirada, Darrell Robinson of Renton, Wash., and Dorothy Collins of Prescott, Ariz.; two sisters, Betty Janosek of Broken Bow, Okla., and Floy Sligar of Gainesville, Texas; 23 grandchildren; more than 35 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Claude V. Robinson, who died in 1981; and a sister, Margaret Marckham.
Thursday's service will begin at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ, 3332 Orange Ave., in Anaheim. Visitation will be observed in Tracy from noon to 7 p.m. Monday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave.
Interment in Rose Hills Memorial Park and Cemetery, 3888 Workman Mill Road, in Whittier, will follow the service.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Robinson's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of Northern California, 105 S. Washington St., Lodi 95240; or Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton 95204.
