Roger R. Schmidt, age 72, of the Sierra Home, 2021 Kellner St., Manitowoc, entered eternal life Friday, July 13, 2007, at the Sierra Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation will have taken place with entombment of the cremains at Knollwood Mausoleum.
Roger was born Aug. 2, 1934, in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Raymond F. and Mildred T. Kornely Schmidt.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Mildred Schmidt; and one brother: Ronald Schmidt.
Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
Roger's brothers and their families would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Roger's extended family, as well as the staff and caregivers of the Sierra Home and Lighthouse Group Homes for the care and compassion given to Roger over the past 17 years and especially the last few weeks. Through their efforts, Roger was able to enjoy his last Christmas celebrated on July 8 - the hottest day of the year - complete with his own Christmas tree, presents and a visit from Santa himself. Roger was certainly well loved!
