Mildred T. Schmidt, age 84, of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, formerly of Valley View Apts., 1485 N. 7th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon, January 10, 1999, at the center. Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 1999, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. Cremation will have taken place.
Mildred was born May 19, 1914, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Lydia (née Silversack) Kornely. She attended Washington High School in Two Rivers. Millie was an Avon Representative here in the Manitowoc area for many years and also was employed with Mirro Aluminum until her retirement.
She married Raymond F. Schmidt on January 22, 1933, in Waukegan, Illinois. He preceded Millie in death on January 18, 1986. She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Thomas W. and Judy Schmidt, Manitowoc, Roger Schmidt, Manitowoc, Reginald and Betty Schmidt, Manitowoc, Ronald Schmidt, Manitowoc; ten grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Anton and Ione Kornely, Manitowoc; one sister, Dorothy Ray, Atlanta Ga.; other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Schmidt, in 1986; two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at Holy Innocents Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the Schmidt family with funeral arrangements.
