Bertha Alice Logan was born on November 7th, 1890 in Greene County, Missouri. She was the first born child of James Alvin Logan and Mary Elizabeth (Garoutte) Logan. Her family moved from Greene County, Missouri to Kansas in 1891. She died tragically on May 15, 1896 in Hopewell, Pratt Co., Kansas at the age of 5 years after being burned in an accident.
