Mrs. Angle was a Beckley native and a daughter of the late Wesley G. and Cora Via Harris. She was a 1935 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Beckley, and was employed with Basharas Children's Shop for thirty-one years. Mrs. Angle was a faithful member of Mabscott Christian Baptist Church for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly sixty years, Reginald A. Angle, in 1995. Mrs. Angle was the last surviving member of her family and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Homer Harris, Elzie Harris and Aubrey Harris; three sisters, [Glenna Pauline Harris, 1920-1920], Ellen Ferguson, Nova Elkins Craddock and Altha Jobe; and a beloved son-in-law, Alvin Chambers.
She leaves behind three daughters, Nancy Chambers, Beckley, Mary Lou Morris and husband, Charlie, Erwin, and Carolyn Dodd and husband, Gary, Roanoke, VA; five grandsons, Paul Chambers, Wes Morris, Matt Morris, Aaron Morris and Sam Perna III; one granddaughter, Melinda Braswell; five great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
The funeral service for Mrs. Angle will be conducted Saturday, November 26, 2011, at 3:00 P.M. at Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Harmon Davis and Pastor Doug Holley officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
