EATON--John F. Patterson, 72, of N. Hartford St., Eaton, died Thursday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born on June 11,1932 in Randolph Co., a son of George and Hazel (Coryell) Patterson, he graduated in 1951 from Winchester High School

John was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, he married Sharon Moriarty in Richmond on Mar. 3,1962.

They had resided in Eaton since 1972 where he retired from Graphic Menus after twenty-seven years of employment as a printer.

John's memberships include, the O'Leara Quirk American Legion Post 90, Eaton, a life member of the Indiana Jaycees and the Winchester Chapter of Junior Order of United American Mechanics.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two daughters, Rene Sanders and Cindy Foster; three sisters, Beulah Rittenhouse of Winchester, Virginia Anderson of DeWitt, Mich., Lois Lewis of Jeffersonville; and six grandchildren, Caitlin, Hannah and Dakin Sanders, Lauren, Shea and Stone Foster.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, James, Harry and Robert; one sister Margaret Patterson; and two grandchildren, Reed and Rae Ann.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Steve DeLisle, presiding. Burial will be made in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
