Herman Behrens of Pasadena, Cal., died Saturday.
A native of Jersey City, he formerly resided in Westfield for 25 years. He was a retired accountant for the Central Railroad of New Jersey, member of the Old Guard of Westfield, and one of the founding members of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Westfield.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Viola F. Behrens; a son, Edward C. Behrens of Altadena, Cal.; two daughters, Edith D. Nesbitt, LaCanada, Cal., and Meta Lux of Goodyear, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. C. Ruffer and Mrs. G. Porter, both of New Jersey; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in Memory Chapel, Pasadena. The Rev. Martin H. Zagel, pastor of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church of which Mr. Behrens was a member, officiated. Internent will be Saturday in Fairview Cemetery.
