Garth L. Kelchner, age 82, of Wilmington, Del., passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Christiana Hospital. Born in Blumsberg, Pa., Mr. Kelchner was the son of Preston and Velma (Artley) Kelchner. In 1955, he moved to Delaware from Wilkes Barre and was employed by Spence Security where he worked as a security officer for 15 years. He later worked at Service Link Security and Initial Security. He was a manager in the garden mart at Gaylords and as a supervisor at Delmore Dairy. Mr. Kelchner will be dearly missed by his wife of 63 years, Sophie (Byczek) Kelchner; his brother, Robert Kelchner; step-brothers, step-sisters, nieces & nephews; and by his dog, Buddy.
