NEOSHO, Mo. — Frankie Ridenour, age 84, Neosho, Mo., passed away March 21, 2013, at the Seneca House, Seneca, Mo., after an extended illness.

She was born Jan. 18, 1929, in Tunas, Mo., to the late Oscar and Bessie (Bradford) Wheeler. Frankie moved to Kansas City for Secretarial School and met her husband, Jimmie Ridenour in the Oxford Class Sunday School group. Frankie raised four children and moved to Neosho in 1968, when Jimmie retired from the Navy. She worked as the Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent of the Neosho School District until she retired in 1979.

Frankie is survived by Jimmie Ridenour, her husband, of 61 years; two daughters, Joy Reynolds and her husband, Bill, of Neosho; Janis Roethle and her husband, Rick, of Morencie, Ariz; two sons, Charles Ridenour and his wife, Nancy, of Sacramento, Calif. and Philip Ridenour, of Ottawa, Kan.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Leona Newberry and Lorena Wickham. She was preceded in death by two brothers; and three sisters.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at the Racine Christian Church, Racine, Mo. The body was cremated.

Frankie requests that any contributions be made to the Joplin Humane Society.
