He was employed as an electrician by Donald W. Guyton, Middletown, until his retirement. He was a member of the Myersville Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Watkins of Clarksburg; Mrs. Nancy Reeder, Middletown; and Mrs. Patricia Naugle, Frederick; a son, John H. Harshman, Woodbridge, Va.; two sisters, Miss Ruth Harshman, Boonsboro; and Mrs. Louise Guyton, Burkittsville; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown; interment in Pleasant View Church of the Brethren cemetery, Burkittsville.
