Obituary:
DEATH OF MRS. ALICE RIORDAN
Sister of John Lyons of This City Passes Away.
Died, at 12:15 o’clock this morning, at the Houston infirmary, Mrs Alice Riordan, aged 41 years.
A lingering illness has been upon Mrs. Riordan for some time, but recently she became worse. She was brought to the Houston infirmary, in this city which was her former home, to have the attention that could be had in an institution of that kind, and careful nursing and attention has been given her. It became known to the family that she could not survive the attack and several were at the bedside last night when the end came.
Mrs. Riordan is the wife of M. Riordan, superintendent of motive power of the Southern Pacific at Algiers, La. She is survived by her husband, three boys and two girls, and by her brothers in this city, John Lyons, Mike C. Lyons and Thomas Lyons.
The interment will take place in this city, but the funeral arrangements have not been made.
Mrs. Riordan has many friends in Houston, where she made her home for so many years. Those who have known of her illness have hoped for an encouraging report from the sick room.
