Obituary - Rites Held Monday for Albert Barber
Funeral services for Albert Barber, 90, 103 W. State St., Farmington, who died Sept. 15 of natural causes, were held Monday, Sept. 18 in the Union Mortuary Chapel in Bountiful. Bishop Elwin P. Arnell was in charge.
Albert Barber was born Sept. 13, 1877, in Centerville, a son of William and Ruth Barber. He married Laura Pearl Mayfield Nov. 10, 1907 in Salt Lake City. She died Oct 28, 1950.
Mr. Barber had worked as a florist for Miller Floral. He as a member of the Farmington 3rd LDS ward.
Surviving him are one daughter, Miss Marjorie Barber, Centerville; two grandchildren and our great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William (Fannie) Parrish of Centerville.
Family prayer at the mortuary was given by Milton Sessions; music was furnished by Fern Hess; invocation, Gail Barber; organ medley, Wilda Schryver; speaker, Richard K. Robinson; vocal duet, Pres. Milton J. and Fern Hess, accompanied by Thora Gregory, "In The Garden"; speaker, Bishop Elwin P. Arnell; vocal trio, "Softly and Tenderly," Wilda Schryver, Lola Floyd, Shirley McKinnon, accompanied by Barbara Frodsham; benediction, Wayne West; dedication of the grave, in the Farmington city cemetery, Edward Clark.
