RICHARD BOGENSCHUTZ
(1924 - 2005)

Richard A. Bogenschutz, 80, village of Cleveland resident, went home to his Lord, Friday April 1, 2005 at Morningside Health Center in Sheboygan.

Born Dec. 13, 1924 in the town of Centerville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Neumeyer Bogenschutz. He graduated from St. Wendel Catholic School in Cleveland. On Oct. 12, 1946, Richard was united in marriage to Mildred Bushman, and the couple resided in the town of Centerville where they engaged in dairy farming. In 1955 the couple moved to the village of Cleveland. The marriage was blessed with five children. Richard was employed at the Kohler Company, Kohler, Wis., for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Wendel and St. Dominic parishes. Richard was an active member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Cleveland Senior Citizens, Quarter Century Club (Kohler), Red Cross Volunteer Driver, Catholic Knights Branch 177, 4-H leader, board member of the Coalition of Wisconsin Aging Groups. Chief ranger of Catholic Order of Foresters, a Church Usher, and member of the Holy Name Society. He also enjoyed his membership in the Once a Month Dance Club.

Richard is survived by his wife Mildred; one daughter: Barbara Spaulding of Kellnersville; three sons and daughters in law: Leonard (Barbara) Bogenschutz of Howards Grove, Gary (Lynn) Bogenschutz of Sheboygan; Ricky (Judi) Bogenschutz of Cleveland; eight grandchildren: Nakia (Brian) Cohan, Janet (Jonathan) Schmitz, Jeanna Bogenschutz and fiance, Mark Goodman, Cory, Jennifer, Matthew, Brandon, and Melanie Bogenschutz; four great-grandchildren: Sabrina, Megan, Emily and Andrew; one sister: Helen (Elmer) Kolbe; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends. Preceding him in death are his daughter: Ann Marie; one brother and sister-in-law: Clarence (Rose) Bogenschutz; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Ann (Joe) Gries and Agnes (Clarence) Wolf.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Father James Jarumbo will be celebrant of the Mass. Entombment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum (1500 Highway 310) in the town of Kossuth.

Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, 1056 Hemlock St., Cleveland, on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 from 4 until 8 p.m., and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday evening at the funeral chapel at 7:30 p.m.
