Theodore M. Zigmunt, age 89, of 2124 Lexington Dr., Manitowoc, died early Monday morning, June 12, 2000, at Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2000, at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Mathew Simonar with entombment to follow at the Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
He was born November 9, 1910, in Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and Emma Roubal Zigmunt.
On November 20, 1940, he married the former Erma M. Kubsch, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. She preceded him in death October 21, 1996.
Theodore was employed at the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company for many years retiring in 1976. Ted and Erma also operated the former Kubsch's Supper Club in Kellnersville for many years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 710, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 706, Holy Innocents Mens Choir, Senior Citizens of Manitowoc, and the Wisconsin Czechs. Ted was a recent recipient of the 50 year membership award, given to him by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survivors include three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mildred Martin, Sheboygan, Mary Ann and Homer Evenson, California, Barbara Jean Siebold, Illinois; two brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law, Florence Zigmunt, Francis Creek, Erwin and Virginia Kubsch, Wyoming, Norman and Marie Kubsch, Kellnersville, Rose Marie Kubsch, rural Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Zigmunt, a sister, Evelyn Rauch, and three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, John Martin, Orville Kubsch, and Reinhardt and Elaine Kubsch.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Deacon Kenneth Nelesen.
