ERNA ZIGMUNT

Erma M. Zigmunt, age 85, of 2124 Lexington Drive, Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon, October 21, 1996, at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, October 25, 1996 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. David Zimmerman and Msgr. Alfred A. Schneider with entombment in Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The former Erma Kubsch was born February 3, 1911, in Kellnersville, daughter of the late Matthew and Mary Kliment Kubsch.

On November 20, 1940, she married Theodore (Ted) Zigmunt at St. Anne Catholic church, Francis Creek. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1990.

Erma was a graduate of Silver Lake College obtaining a degree in elementary education. She taught school in the Newton Public School System for 10 years, Maribel Public School for 12 years, Holy Innocents School for three years and the Sheboygan School System at Cleveland for nine years retiring in 1976.

Mrs. Zigmunt was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church, the Christian Women of Holy Innocents, the Wisconsin Czech and the Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include her husband, Theodore (Ted) Zigmunt, Manitowoc; three brothers and seven Sisters-in-law, Ervin and Virginia Kubsch, Wyoming, Reinhardt Kubsch, Kewaunee, Norman and Marie Kubsch, Kellnersville, Rose Kubsch, rural Manitowoc, Florence Zigmunt, Francis Creek, Mildred Martin, Sheboygan, Mary Ann Evenson, California, Barbara Siebold, Illinois. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Orville Kubsch [106675479].

Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. led by Deacon Kenneth Nelesen.

Memorials may be made to Manitowoc Area Catholic System (MACS).
