Felipa G. Vejil, 88, of Odessa passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born September 5, 1922 in Balmorhea, TX. She was a homemaker and Catholic.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Isidro & Eloisa (Martin) Garcia, her son, Rey Vejil, granddaughter, LuAna Vejil, brother, Isidro Garcia, (6) sisters, Elena Galindo, Aurellia Fierro, Alvesa Armendarez, Eva Vasquez, Noe Garcia & Lorenza Millan.
She is survived by her husband, Ernesto Vejil of Odessa, (formerly of Pecos), son, George Vejil & wife Ymelda of Santa Fe, NM, (4) grandchildren, Freddie J., JoAna & Aaron J. Vejil & DeAna M. Sanchez. (7) great-grandchildren, Lara Lynn, Presten, Ivonae & Karli Vejil, & Nicolas Silva, Marisol & Santana Sanchez, & great-great-grandson, Jerome Espinoza.
Pallbearers will be Aaron J. Vejil, Freddie J. Vejil, Nicolas F. Silva, Albert Armendarez, Fidel Pena & Reymundo Vejil.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and visitation from 8:00 t 9:00 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Bernardito Getigan officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery Los Angeles Section.
