Per his death certificate found on Ancestry.com: he was a son of Joshua Forde and Susan Ann (no last name). He was married at the time of his death but his spouse is not named. He was retired. He died at 1323 Pendleton St. of arteriosclerosis. There is no informant listed.

Found in The State 21 January 1926: FORDE-Relatives and friends of MR. and Mrs. JASPER J. FORDE and family are invited to attend the funeral services of MR. FORDE at St. Peter's Catholic church THIS (Thursday) MORNING at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's cemetery.

Also found in the same paper: Funeral services for Jasper Joseph Forde, who died at his home at 1323 Pendleton street yesterday morning, will be held this morning at 10 o'clock at St. Peter's Roman Catholic church. Interment will be in St. Peter's cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: Robert Civil, A. G. Fisher, Charles Konemann, F. M Bultman, Joseph Connors, J. R. Allen, W. B. Cormack, and J. J. Roberts. Mr. Forde was born in Columbia February 12, 1851 and had been a life long resident of the city. Because of ill health he retired from business about two years ago. He was an active member of St. Peter's and had made many friends who will mourn his death. He had many fine traits of character and was held in high esteem by a large circle. Mr. Forde is survived by his widow, who before her marriage was Miss Mary O. Gorman; by one son, Bernard E. Forde of Columbia; by two daughters, Mrs. J. D. Harden of Columbia and Mrs. R. M. Claffy of St. Matthews; by three brothers, F. A. Forde of Columbia, Louis Forde of Aiken and Charles Forde of Jacksonville; by one sister, Mrs. Eliza Branigan of Greenville.

Note: a brother is also buried at Saint Peter's, Edward L. Forde. Jasper is listed as a survivor in Edward's posted obit (memorial # 113423251).
