Rites Friday For Mrs. Harry Fair
Last rites will be Friday morning for Mrs. Harry C. Fair, former resident of Fairfield, who passed away Tuesday at Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Hoskins funeral home with the Rev. Donald Eagle in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body arrived at the funeral home this morning from Fort Wayne.
Della Chidester Fair, 75, was born May 6, 1882 (sic. 1881 per headstone inscription), west of Fairfield in Jefferson county, the daughter of the late Frank and Ellen Wisecarver Chidester. She was reared and educated in Jefferson county and was a graduate from Parsons college.
A member of the Christian church, she was united in marriage in July, 1906, to Harry C. Fair who preceded his wife in death in 1947.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John Nagelson, Fort Wayne, Indiana; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. J.J. Teeter, Burlington, and Mrs. Harry O. Crow, Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by a sister, June Chidester, who passed away May 26, 1957.
